The truth is, their relationship was never like everyone else's; it was always different, and it ended the same way... They had promised each other it was the end. No one else did that. He, for his part, tried with someone completely different. Simpler, more direct, without so much fuss. But in the awkward silence of a conversation, he was surprised to find himself missing the endless arguments he had with her, the ones that seemed to lead nowhere… but made him feel alive.
