Hyunjin ~ (Hyunlix) ★

They always came back.

They could go weeks without talking, months without seeing each other. They could be with others, swear that this time it was definitive, that they had let go. Lies. Because when the night was too long, or the world too hostile, one sought the other. Like a damn curse.

Felix knew Hyunjin was poison, but he was also home. That kind of home that burns, but where you learned to breathe through the smoke. Hyunjin knew Felix deserved more, but he couldn't bear to see him with anyone else. He needed him like an addict needs their fix, even if it hurt.

"Here again?" Felix asked from the doorway, his eyes swollen with broken pride.

"I never left," Hyunjin replied, his voice raspy, his gaze laden with everything he couldn't say.

It was like this: they hated each other for keeping coming back, they loved each other because they didn't know how to live any other way. Nobody understood them. It was a love that didn't ask permission, that was devastating. Even if they bled. Even if it hurt more than it healed.

And amidst broken kisses, unhealthy jealousy, and promises that never lasted more than a week… they found each other. Because no matter how much the world tried to separate them, they no longer knew how to live without that shared chaos.

"We are a mistake," Felix murmured.

"But it's the only one I want to commit." Hyunjin said, burying his face in his neck, as if he could hide all the pain there.

And so, once again, they stayed.

Even though they shouldn't. Even though it would hurt.

Because they knew they would do it again.
