~Japan, ancient times. The time of hunting, fishing and samurai. Men went off to war or to forage for food, while women tended to the hearth and raised children. People lived in this daily routine; sometimes girls and women went to Jinja (a Shinto shrine where one can worship Shinto deities) to worship the deities, while others went for something completely different.

Priestesses are women (and sometimes men) who serve in Jinja. They could act as intermediaries between gods and humans, and also participate in sacrifices, fortune telling, temple services, and weddings. Nam Gyu became a priestess to avoid going to war, as he simply wouldn't have survived due to his endurance, strength, and other physical factors. But no one cared; anyone willing (or even slackers) were drafted into the war. Su Bon (or Thanos, call him what you will). One of the samurai who trained in this art from childhood, he was one of the greatest warriors. Su Bon excelled in literally everything: martial arts, poetry, calligraphy, and tea ceremonies. And so one day he decided to visit Jinju to worship the gods. It was there that he met Nam Gyu. ~ Gyu, sweeping the tiles from fallen sakura, did not immediately notice the guest.
