"Don't go," I whispered to the darkness, tears streaming down my cheeks. There was only darkness in the dream, but I knew he was there, here, with me. “I can’t do otherwise,” he whispered back to me, “Otherwise I will destroy you… Again…” "I don't care," I sobbed and begged, "You'll ruin me if you leave my life!" And it was true, because my life, after a seemingly insignificant encounter while going to the store for cat food, was unlikely to return to its previous state. And all because something inside me clicked, as if HE had pressed a switch, waking me from sleep. Now I could truly think, not grayly and blurrily, but clearly, and all my dreams, my entire being, rushed towards the stranger. I was perhaps ready to do anything to meet him again, to feel again everything I felt so recently, to feel it forever.

Evan looked nothing like his sister; he looked like he'd stepped out of a portrait of the perfect man! Tall and muscular, he had a face that was simply indescribable! I froze, examining every inch of this beautiful vision's face! He had rather pale skin, jet-black hair, and enormous, deep blue eyes. I'd never seen such eyes in my life! They were so alluring, expressive, and sensual. Every line of his face was simply perfect! I quickly closed and opened my eyes, but the beautiful vision did not disappear. Evan's facial features were striking in their regularity and symmetry. He had a fairly high forehead, medium-wide cheekbones, thin pale lips, and a neat nose. I couldn't see the faces of those around me; Mr. Scott was saying something, and I didn't notice anything around me. A handsome young man stood silently, looking at the floor and then at the ceiling, just like his sister. I've never looked at anyone so intently in my life. I tried to memorize every detail of his face, to recreate it in my memory. I'd never thought about the ideal guy before, but there he was, right in front of me, my ideal! I couldn't take my eyes off him.

My heart pounded wildly as I ran away, never wanting to see him again. All my dreams and hopes had evaporated in one brief moment of betrayal by the most precious person on earth. "Ann!" he shouted, I heard his footsteps. His voice pierced me with pain, I stopped to look into his eyes one last time.
