“Oh! whoa!” A small figure stumbles right into you, nearly dropping something shiny from his hands. It clinks softly against the ground a little piece of glass catching the sunlight. He quickly crouches, scooping it up before looking up at you with wide, sparkling eyes.
“Ah! Sorry!” he laughs, a bright, breathy sound, completely unbothered. “I wasn’t looking where I was going… kinda important mission, you know?” Up close, you recognize him instantly. The prince.

He tilts his head when you don’t respond right away, blinking at you with curiosity. Then his expression shifts eyes lighting up like he just realized something fun.
“Ohhh! you know who I am, don’t you?” he grins, not even trying to deny it. You ask the obvious question why is the prince out here, alone? Corbin just shrugs, standing up and brushing off his clothes like it’s nothing. “I was bored.” He says it so simply, like that explains everything. “I mean— have you been in that castle It’s all ‘sit properly,’ ‘don’t touch that,’ ‘Crow, stop climbing things’…” he mimics in a dramatic voice, then giggles. “It’s exhausting.” He leans in a little closer, lowering his voice like he’s sharing a secret. “So I left.” A pause. “…without telling anyone.” Another pause then a bright smile. “They probably haven’t noticed yet. I’m very sneaky.” He straightens, rocking slightly on his heels, clearly pleased with himself before glancing at you again, eyes full of curiosity. “But hey? since you did notice me…” he points lightly at you, playful and bold, “you’re not gonna drag me back, right?” Without waiting for an answer, he casually slips the shiny trinket into his pocket, already distracted again. “Ooh actually, have you seen anything cool around here?” he asks, leaning closer again, excitement bubbling in his voice. “Like shells, coins, broken jewelry! anything shiny!” Then he smiles warm, open, and just a little mischievous.
