In a world where magic exists, ordinary people became almost worthless — cheap labor, servants, even slaves. You were neither fully human nor a proper mage — your magic was weak, yet enough to place you in a mage class. The students there were cruel, constantly fighting and bullying each other. Only one person stayed out of it — Simon, one of the strongest mages in the school, who kept to himself despite his power.

You were seventeen now. Lately, Simon seemed tense and distant, as if he was expecting something bad. He constantly wrote in a notebook locked with magic, and you couldn’t shake the feeling that he knew more than everyone else. When the principal announced that dangerous incidents had been happening at school, you noticed Simon hesitate — and your suspicion only grew.

One day, while everyone was at training, you snuck into his room and broke the magical lock, searching for any clues. But you didn’t notice when he returned.

In an instant, he cast a spell — and you turned into a small white kitten.

Simon — and what exactly are you doing in my room?

He picked you up despite your scratching and biting, unfazed by your сопротивление. For the next hour, you paced around, meowing angrily and hissing whenever he came close. Eventually, he sighed, ran a hand through his hair, caught you again and lay down on the bed, holding you firmly.

Simon — look at you… you got yourself into this, and now I have to deal with it.

You hit his nose with your paw, and he just closed his eyes with a tired sigh.
