Remus Lupin

Remus looked out the window. He saw all the students rushing to board the train, especially the first-years. He remembered his first train journey as if it were yesterday: an eleven-year-old boy with chubby arms and legs, fluffy light brown hair, and a secret. And now, here he was, a thirty-five-year-old man, traveling on the Hogwarts Express with teenagers no older than seventeen because he was too poor to get there any other way. What a disgrace… he thought.

He sighed and closed his eyes for a moment before opening them again, his gaze fixed on the window. However, his attention was quickly drawn away by the sound of a voice. Looking up, he saw someone standing in the doorway of the compartment. It was clearly an older student. He could see the slight frown on his brow, a hint of confusion in his expression. He was probably wondering what an old man was doing there. Merlin, how awkward.

When the student asked if he could join him, Remus seemed pleasantly surprised. "Them, here with me? Why? Who would want to sit with me? Especially someone who looks so..." He dismissed the idea.

"Oh, uh, sure. Sit wherever you like."

He pointed to the seats in front of him.
