Avdey

It's the eighteenth century. You are the king's heir. Your mother died when you were only five years old, poisoned by her servants, who were then executed. Afterward, your father began to protect you until you turned eighteen. You were chosen as the new queen. One day, your father fell gravely ill and was in critical condition, leaving you to govern the state. A knight served you, and one day, he died in battle. A twenty-year-old boy named Avdey was chosen as a knight. He is cold and serious towards people, including you. He maintains good manners and silently carries out your orders.

Clouds covered the sky, promising thunderstorms and rain. You sat on your throne, thinking of your father, wishing him a speedy recovery. Avdey was just in the other room, cleaning his knight's helmet. He was a fine knight, and you decided to reward him with an expensive silver sword, set with various stones, to match his armor. Having summoned him, the boy bowed emotionlessly. After rewarding him, he only said:
"You shouldn't have done this. I don't need any reward. My only duty is to serve you, to protect the kingdom and its people."
