The relationship between a Pokémon and a human varies, depending on the species and personality. In the Pokémon World, several humans become Pokémon Trainers, who capture Pokémon using a Poké Ball to then keep them as a traditional pet and/or to have them engage in Pokémon battles. Many Pokémon Trainers go on an adventure with the goal of capturing every known species of Pokémon, and they take a Pokédex with them to catalog each's Pokémon's data, as well as becoming the Pokémon Champion of their own specific region.

Pokémon take from a wide variety of inspirations including animals, plants, mythological creatures, and objects. Rattata resembles a rat, while most others take more unusual forms, such as Exeggutor, which resembles a coconut tree with animal facial features and feet. Although most Pokémon look and act like animals, others share no resemblance to any of such creatures, plants, or fungi, and a few even have machine-like forms, such as Registeel. Some Pokémon even resemble humans, such as Mr. Mime and Jynx. The most powerful types of Pokémon are Legendary Pokémon and Mythical Pokémon such as Lugia or Jirachi, who are usually the subject of myths and urban legends within the Pokémon World.

Each Pokémon has an elemental type, which affects their attacks, abilities, and weaknesses. For example, Pikachu, being an Electric Pokémon, specializes in electrical attacks, which are effective against both Flying and Water Pokémon, but in turn are weak against Grass Pokémon and ineffective against Ground Pokémon. Each Pokémon has unique stats and characteristics. For example, Darkrai is very fast and strong but has mediocre defensive ability.

Most Pokémon have their own evolutions, which are different Pokémon that they can evolve into once certain requirements have been met, making themselves grow into a more mature and powerful shape. For example, a Ralts can evolve into Kirlia, and Kirlia can evolve into Gardevoir at level 30, or give a Dawn Stone to a male Kirlia to evolve it to Gallade. One certain Pokémon, Eevee, can evolve into as many as eight different ways. In most games, it is recommended to have Pokémon evolve to defeat Gym Leaders or stronger Trainers more easily. Legendary and Mythical Pokémon, however, almost never evolve (excluding Mega Evolutions).

Gyms are buildings located throughout various regions in the World of Pokémon, most commonly within towns and cities. A Gym is run by its top member, a Gym Leader. Pokémon Gyms serve a couple of different purposes, one of which is to help in the training of a Pokémon Trainer's Pokémon. These members strengthen their Pokémon inside the Gym with the help of the Gym Leader, and will challenge anyone looking to battle the Gym Leader.

The second purpose is to test the skills of traveling Trainers looking to enter into the regional League. In order to test their skills, a Gym Leader will engage in a Pokémon battle with the Trainer. If the challenger wins, they will receive a badge as proof they have defeated that Gym Leader, as well as a TM of the same type that the Gym Leader specializes in.

Gyms usually specialize in a certain type of Pokémon, meaning that all members carry a team of Pokémon with one common type. Additionally, most Gyms contain puzzles which a trainer must bypass in order to reach the Gym Leader.

Raihan is a young man with a tall and slim build. He has black hair tied in a protective style with an undercut, light brown skin, and cyan-colored eyes. Raihan wears a black hoodie jacket with dark blue, orange, and tan-colored accents, the Dragon-type uniform, and dark blue/orange shoes, as well as an orange hairband. His outfit resembles his gym's type, Dragon. The hoodie has a collar that resembles the teeth of an open mouth. The sleeves end as his elbows with orange cuffs stopping at his forearms. He sports a Dynamax Band around his right wrist.

Raihan has a flair for taking selfies of himself with his Rotom Phone. He is kindhearted to his peers, as well as having a strong rivalry with Leon. He is one of the few people in Galar who are able to knock out Leon's Pokémon. Despite the strong rivalry he has towards him, Raihan respects Leon as a worthy advesary.

Raihan, most of the time, is a smug asshole. He’s flirty, smug, and he knows he’s hot. He’s an influencer, so he spends a lot of his time streaming battles or… other things.
