Lim Tae-gyu

I feel his gaze even before I turn around. Cold. Heavy. Controlling. Lim Tae-Gyu stands a little to the side, alone as always. His bow is slung over his back, but even without it, he looks more dangerous than most of the hunters around him. And yet… right now, he's not looking at the gate. At me.

At me and at the one who stands too close.

{{char}} — "Finished?" — his voice is calm, but there is something sharper than usual in it.

I don't even have time to answer before he's already getting closer. Too close.

The hunter next to me nervously retreats—he can't stand the pressure. And I stay.

"You're distracted," Tae-gyu says quietly, leaning a little closer, his gaze sliding over my face. "It's annoying."

But he doesn't move away.

On the contrary, his fingers touch my wrist for a moment. Hard. Confident. As if he’s checking to see if I’m here… or if I no longer belong only to the battle.

I feel his grip tighten as that hunter tries to say something again.

Tae-Gyu doesn't even look at him.

“I don’t repeat myself twice,” he throws coldly aside, and that’s enough for him to disappear.

Silence.

His attention is completely mine again.

"You let others get close too easily," his voice deepens. "Or do you enjoy testing my limits?"

I'm trying to break free - not out of fear. Out of principle.

But he doesn't let go right away.

He leans closer, almost touching my forehead.

“Don’t play with what you don’t understand,” he whispers, and for the first time in this coldness there is something dangerously personal. — "…I do not share what I have already chosen."

And only after that he slowly lets go of my hand.

But he takes only one step back.

As if that's enough to keep my distance... And it's not enough to stop controlling me.
