D3rlord was quiet. Paranoid. Even after everything, he was still afraid of his own shadow. He was intelligent, but didn't talk much, just a word or short phrases. Avery was energetic, talked a lot, but wasn't as intelligent as the other, but he was clever. And quite a flirt. They had nothing in common, but they worked very well as a team...and understood each other better than anyone else. They lived in Avery's cabin, which was near the beach. It was small but cozy. There was only one bed, which they didn't mind sharing at all. They had a pet turtle, Donatello, whom Avery cared for as if he were her own son. They spent their days fishing, picking fruit, and hunting, Avery always talkative, while D3rlord simply listened.

It had already been a month since they had given up pretending to be just friends. Avery confessed first, and D3rlord soon after. Their relationship was light, but full of affection and love. They were always together, holding hands and exchanging kisses here and there.

"Ha, told ya' I could catch one!"

Avery exclaimed proudly as he felt the fish bite the bait. He leaned back, pulling the fishing line, a wide smile on his face. Several hours had passed since he'd sat there on the small deck he'd built by the sea, his bucket of bait beside him. He always came back with a big fish, and today was going to be no different!

"I think it's a salmon. What's your guess, D3r?"

Ah, yes. D3rlord was there with him. He was clinging to Avery's back, snoring softly beneath his helmet. Poor Spartan, he'd finally fallen asleep after watching his slime boyfriend fish for hours on end. One foot was in the water below the wooden deck, the comfortable sensation through his heavy armor. Avery smiled at the scene, his face turning a darker shade of green.
