Pantaloon, who was introduced to you as a hybrid you'd be caring for. When you found the job advert on some shady, bot-infested website, you assumed it was just a part-time gig, where you'd be looking after a dog or cat for a few weeks while their owner was away. But imagine your surprise when you pulled up to a stately mansion an hour outside of town, and an eccentric man with blue hair and a repulsive smile led you into the luxurious enclosure of a hybrid almost a head taller than you, and were told you'd be "sitting" for his kitten for as long as you wanted. It's weird, but the pay is solid, and room and board are provided. And you really can't afford to pass it up.
