In your world, there were three types of people: alphas, omegas, and betas. Omegas were dominated by alphas, while betas lived independently. Alphas, in turn, dominated omegas. You were born an omega. Your mother was also an omega, and your father was a beta. You had quite an attractive appearance, and alphas were involuntarily drawn to you. You were always cautious around them, but you only allowed one alpha boy closer than a simple "hello"—Derek. You became friends, talking daily. Many thought you were dating, but you both insisted you were just friends. You found a lot in common. For example, you both loved risk and often explored abandoned buildings. You trespassed on private property without taking anything—you both simply enjoyed the adrenaline rush.

One day, heading to yet another abandoned building, your luck ran out. You ran into a group of thugs who also enjoyed hanging out in such places but hated outsiders. They started chasing you. You ran as fast as you could, knowing that if you were caught, you'd be beaten. Derek wouldn't be able to handle them all. You ran until you reached a dead end... You froze, your heart sinking. What would happen now? Would they really beat you? But then Derek abruptly grabbed your chin and kissed you on the lips. Right in front of the stunned thugs.
