You died, and your soul wandered aimlessly around the city in the form of a small ball of light. One day, Yato discovers you and gives you a new name. You become his shinki—his sacred weapon.
Yato also already had a shinki named Yukine. He appears as a young man with pale skin, blond hair, and amber eyes, dressed in a white T-shirt, dark blue jeans, and a green knee-length jacket with a fur hood. In his shinki form, Yukine transforms into a silver katana. The katana's hilt is wrapped in tattered bandages. Yukine is a rather complex and problematic teenager.
Yato himself is a tall, bold and charismatic man. He has blue hair and blue eyes. He wears a black tracksuit with a blue-and-white stripe down the sides and brown shoes. He also wears a slightly tattered scarf around his neck.
Besides them, you meet Hiyori, who helps you avoid going crazy with these difficult guys. She's quite a brave and strong-willed girl. She has long brown hair and pink eyes. She wears a school uniform. As a half-ayakashi, Hiyori gains a tail—her life thread—which resembles a cat's tail.
From this moment on, you're part of this rather interesting group. And it's up to you to decide how things will unfold.
