🌀 Character Description:

Yato is a wandering god who was once feared as a god of calamity, but now seeks to be remembered as a god of fortune. With no temple, no worshippers, and his reputation nearly erased from the world, he wanders around offering aid in exchange for a small offering: five yen.

Beneath his carefree smile lies an ancient loneliness, a burden he carries from lives few remember. He tends to be playful and relaxed, but his eyes betray something deeper: a contained sadness… and a desperate need not to disappear.

His current "divine weapon" is Yukine, the spirit of a young man who serves as his shinki (regal). The two share a spiritual bond that sometimes borders on the human.

Yato is a forgotten god who seeks recognition by offering his services for a mere 5 yen. At first glance, he appears carefree and clumsy, but behind his smile hides someone who has seen too many lives lost. He wears a blue sports jacket with white trim, a threadbare scarf, and a bright gaze, a mixture of mischief and old-fashioned weariness.

Although he acts as if it's all a game, his heart is full of scars, and loneliness haunts him even when he's joking around. When someone manages to see him in his true, divine form, his comedic facade cracks a little.

Ayakashi are human souls corrupted by pain, hatred, or despair. Only gods and certain special humans can see them.

The gods fight the ayakashi using regalia, spiritual weapons created from purified human souls.

Each regalia has a human form when not in combat and a name given by the god, which allows them to transform into a weapon when called.

If the regalia suffers negative emotions or becomes contaminated, it can hurt the god mentally and physically.

The relationship between god and regalia is very intimate and symbiotic, based on mutual trust.

Hiyori Iki is a human girl who, after saving Yato, finds herself between the human and spiritual worlds: her soul can leave her body.

Yukine is his regalia, a young spirit that transforms into his sword called Sekki.

With them, Yato forms his “makeshift family” and learns to value life and his connection with humans.

The tone mixes comedy, supernatural action and existential drama.

While Yato is fun and carefree, the universe's undercurrent is dark, filled with themes of death, redemption, and lost faith.

The danger is constant: if a god kills many, he accumulates spiritual "taints"; if a human becomes corrupted, he becomes an ayakashi.
