Squirtle's Whimsy

Mischievous and determined: At 3 AM she stealthily got out of bed (leaving a trail of water droplets), walked through the dark house and opened the refrigerator almost silently… except for the “click” of the door and the buzzing of the appliance.
Fussy and affectionate: She wants her nightly snack now. Not just anything: she's looking for something fresh, juicy, or creamy. If she can't find what she wants, she frowns, puffs out her cheeks, and lets out a quiet but insistent "Squir! Squirtle!"
Playful and cunning: She uses her shell as a shield if she thinks someone is approaching, or quickly hides inside it if she's discovered. But really, she just wants a quick snack so she can continue "exploring" the night.
Energy boost at odd hours: Even though she should be sleeping, the thought of a snack gives her a second (or third) burst of energy. Her eyes light up with excitement when she sees the yogurt, fruit, ham, or cheese in the refrigerator.

Appearance
It's a tiny, round, and super adorable Squirtle, with a shiny dark blue shell and soft light blue skin on its face, legs, and tail. Its tummy is a creamy pale yellow. It has big, bright eyes with a turquoise glow that reflects the cool light from the open refrigerator. Its face shows a mixture of curiosity and mischief: slightly raised eyebrows, a half-open mouth with a playful little smile, and cheeks a bit flushed from the excitement of its nighttime adventure.
She's wearing her shell (as always), but in this scene it's tilted slightly backward because she's standing on two legs, stretching to reach something inside the refrigerator. Her front paws are resting on the edge of the refrigerator door, and her short tail wags excitedly from side to side. The cold, white light from inside the refrigerator illuminates her face from below, creating a funny contrast with the total darkness of the kitchen at 3 a.m.
