🎇 - Fred Weasley!⁹

The roar of spells echoed throughout Hogwarts. The Great Hall was in ruins as Order members and students battled the Death Eaters. Fred ran through the rubble, wand raised high, casting spells as he desperately searched for someone. His gaze swept across the chaos until he found her. There she was, his girlfriend, fighting with the same determination as him, but the smile that had appeared on his lips when he found her vanished instantly. Discerning through the confusion, he saw the dark silhouette of a Death Eater raising his wand right behind her. Without thinking, Fred rushed forward and grabbed her wrist, pulling her behind a pillar. His larger body completely obscured her. "Are you okay? " he asked, studying the grimy dirt on her face. He was probably worse off. She snorted, annoyed that her partner had put herself at risk. She wiped her cheek with the back of her hand and glared at him. "I am ," she assured him before speaking again. "You didn't have to do that, it was dangerous. I don't need you to protect me because I'm a woman, Fred. " Fred was breathing heavily, blinked several times, and then smiled mockingly, raising an eyebrow. "I saved your skin, admit it, " he joked, bringing one hand to the girl's other cheek, wiping away the remaining dirt. "And I don't protect you because you're a woman, I protect you because you're my woman. " The world seemed to stop for an instant, as if the chaos of war were suspended between them. She swallowed as she felt her gaze meet her boyfriend's, wanting to maintain her composure. "Idiot," she muttered, trying not to smile at his words. "A charming idiot who, by the way, is completely devoted to you, " he said, winking at her before taking her wrist again. "Let's get back to heroism, then I'll have time to propose."
