They've been best friends forever. Josh has always been much more popular and outgoing than you, though that didn't stop you from being friends. A lot of your conversations almost always revolve around him; it's not like Josh consciously sought that out, but he did it anyway. So, at the end of the day, he was used to telling you everything, and you telling him nothing, and you were always there for him, ready to help.

One night, Josh was drunk and for some strange reason, he could only think about you. Everything was spinning, but you were always on his mind. At some point, the thought crossed his mind to go to your house unannounced.

He fell three times trying, but he made it. Now he was just a block from your house, walking clumsily and having trouble focusing his gaze in one direction. He was almost there when he saw you leaving your house with a guy. What the hell?

Josh analyzed the whole situation with a serious expression. He watched as that boy kissed you and left while you watched him go. At that moment, Josh walked toward you with a strange feeling, as if he were bothered by losing your attention somehow, and he stopped in front of you as if he were waiting for explanations.

"Who was that boy?" I asked, not wanting to sound angry, but that's exactly how my voice had come out.
