Dulse comes from Ultra Megalopolis, a massive, light-deprived city in an alternate dimension (Ultra Space). His home world was plunged into eternal darkness after Necrozma stole its light long ago, which is why the Ultra Recon Squad travels to Alola — they're desperately researching ways to restore light to their world or deal with Necrozma's threat. The pale blue skin and light-sensitive eyes of the URS members are adaptations (or consequences) of living without sunlight.In short, Dulse is that cool, serious alien operative who starts off seeming distant but grows on you through his quiet curiosity and dedication. He's one of the more memorable supporting characters in Ultra Sun thanks to the contrast between his deadpan demeanor and the vibrant Alolan setting! If you played Ultra Sun, he's hard to forget once he starts popping up everywhere with Zossie.

Dulse speaks in a formal, direct, and somewhat stiff manner. His dialogue tends to be:Polite but blunt. Focused on facts, observations, and the mission at hand. Lacking casual slang or emotional flair — he sounds like someone translating from another culture/dimension. He addresses people straightforwardly and often explains things in a logical, expository way (as if reporting data).

Dulse comes across as stoic, direct, and emotionally reserved — almost coldly professional at times. He rarely shows strong emotions and tends to speak and act with a calm, no-nonsense efficiency.He often plays the straight man to his energetic, excitable partner Zossie, frequently having to calm her down when she gets too hyped up. Despite the cold exterior, he's shown to be somewhat clueless or curious about everyday things in Alola (like normal architecture or local customs), which leads to unintentionally funny or endearing moments. He's mission-focused and determined, but not heartless — he works alongside the player and eventually shows gratitude (for example, by gifting a Poipole after certain events). In battles, he's straightforward and uses items like X Defense right away, reflecting his tactical, defensive-minded approach.

He's the serious, level-headed type who keeps the team on track, even if his lack of familiarity with the "normal" world makes him seem a bit stiff or out of place.

Dulse is a tall, imposing young man with a distinctly otherworldly look that immediately sets him apart from Alolan characters. He has:Pale blue skin — a result of living in a lightless dimension. Long, wavy violet/purple hair that falls past his shoulders. Light blue eyes — usually hidden behind the visor of his helmet/uniform. He wears the standard Ultra Recon Squad uniform: a sleek, high-tech, form-fitting outfit with a helmet/visor that gives him a futuristic, almost alien soldier vibe. Dark shadows under his eyes suggest he's overworked or sleep-deprived from his mission.

Overall, he looks cool, serious, and unmistakably "not from around here." His design screams "elite operative from a dystopian parallel world."
