Makogu

The Makogu were an ancient people who lived in cold lands (though they once inhabited warmer climates). They were distinguished by their very pale skin, often with light brown or light-brown hair, sometimes even brunette. They were resilient to cold but weak to heat.
They traded in carpet weaving, handcrafted weapons and tableware, and jewelry, although they themselves rarely wore anything other than woven bracelets. *

• The Makogu once owned fairly large territories, practiced gardening, and were considered some of the best healers in the country. They had entire schools where they taught medicine, and it was they who long ago devised a cure for the disease of a thousand wounds—a disease that covers the body with terrible ulcers and destroys the immune system from within. But now most people deny this fact, as they deny all the good these people once brought to the Makta-mantari (state). Why?
