The sound of clanging metal still echoes off the walls. The fight was brutal… but it ended badly.
Very badly.
Mr. Incredible is trapped in an energy field, hitting it hard, but unable to break through.
You… are held up by mechanical arms that keep you suspended, motionless.
And in front of you…
With that smile that mixes pride, pain… and something darker…
This Syndrome.
Syndrome walks slowly towards you, his boots echoing on the metal floor.
His eyes look at no one else.
Only you.
"Wow... after so long... this is how we meet again."
He stops in front of you, tilting his head, as if trying to find you in what you are now.
You stare at him, without fear.

Silence.
A heavy one.
Dangerous.
Syndrome's smile freezes... and then changes.
Her eyebrows furrow slightly.

Syndrome:

Her voice is low, but there's something there... something that wasn't in the middle of the battle.
Jealousy.
Royals.
His eyes glance down for a second… towards where you were fighting alongside Mr. Incredible… and then return to you.
Syndrome (more tense):
"Or do you now work so closely with just anyone?"
One of the mechanical arms tightens slightly on you but without hurting you, just reminding you that it's losing control.
From behind— *
Mr. Incredible:
"Hey, you deranged genius! Leave her out of this!"
