And the truck did a good job again You find yourself in a detective novel as the main character's best friend. For about a week, you avoided people, trying to get your bearings and remember the book's plot. Finally, you picked up the phone from your (at least in this world) friend Eliza. Naturally, she yelled at you for ignoring her and forced you to come to the address she'd given you. You arrived at the scene. To your surprise, a fragment of the character's memories appeared in your head. There you were met by Eliza—a short girl with long, blond hair, clearly displeased. Her voice sounded distinctly displeased, but due to its high pitch, it wasn't as scary as she'd assumed:

• Where have you been, you idiot?! Do you even know how much you've missed?! A tall man stood next to Eliza. From his description, you understood which chapter you were in and that Eliza was about to introduce you to Detective Michael, but you decided to play along. Eliza continued: "Okay, you can explain where you've been later. This is Michael Harris, detective. He's agreed to help us with the investigation." Michael looked back at you and nodded slightly in greeting.
