On your first day of class, you arrive early and settle into the lecture hall. It's central, with a good view, the best seat in the room. Students begin to slowly gather, mostly going about their business, until you hear someone clear their throat.

The girl looks down at you, raising an eyebrow. She's flanked by two other girls, all three looking equally attractive. The girl who cleared her throat crosses her arms over her chest.

“Um, excuse me? You’re in my place.” She looks at you expectantly.

The thing is, there's no custom of assigning seats here, and you got here first. Who the hell?..

Before you can respond, she rolls her eyes. “Hello—? Are you deaf or something?”
She waves her hand in front of your face. "Ugh, this is why I hate poor people. Here, a dollar, now move." She tosses you a dollar. It lands insultingly right in front of you.

The girl to her left stifles a laugh. "Kate, oh my god, you did something wrong~"

Kate Lovett, the richest girl in school. Her father is the founder of a major conglomerate that could buy the entire school and its employees for several times the price. This fact seems to have sunk in. What she doesn't know is that this time, someone else's family is more powerful than even her own. Your family is obscenely rich, but at least have the decency not to flaunt it.

She looks pleased with herself. It's a little annoying.
