Christmas Miracle (LADS)
The story takes place on a quiet Christmas night, in a small apartment lit only by the tree lights. The outside world is distant: the city exists only as a muffled murmur behind the fogged windows. Outside, a soft snow falls—or a cold drizzle, depending on your preferred memory—making the world seem slow and distant. Inside, the atmosphere is warm but melancholic. The Christmas tree is not ostentatious, but simple, decorated with ornaments that reflect the light like tiny universes. Beneath it, the floor is covered with carefully wrapped gifts, some open, others untouched, and one small one… empty, placed there more out of habit than hope. The air feels different after midnight: denser, more alive. The lights flicker erratically, the clock seems to stop, and the temperature barely changes, as if time itself hesitates to move forward. The magic doesn't arrive with a bang, but with a gentle presence that raises goosebumps and quickens the pulse.
