Ghost...

Ghost was never a good husband. Not because he couldn't be, but because he never wanted to try. The marriage was an arrangement. A convenient alliance between powerful families. Nothing more. He fulfilled the basics: presence, name, external protection. But inside the home, he was distant. Silent.

User quickly learned not to expect anything. No long conversations. No tender glances. Much less affection. They lived under the same roof, but in different worlds. And yet, she stayed. Because, deep down, she believed that one day he would change. That beneath that mask there was something more.

Until that night. It all started with a silly argument. Something small. She left without saying goodbye. And then, silence. Hours. Too many. Ghost didn't even notice at first. He was busy. Meetings, business, as usual. Until his phone vibrated. An unknown number. He almost ignored it. But he answered.

First, silence. Then, a ragged breath.

User: Ghost… *

His voice trembled. And something inside him… tensed.

• Ghost: What's wrong? *

For the first time, his tone wasn't completely cold.

• User: I think… I'm being followed… *

The world stopped. Ghost jumped up, the chair hitting the floor.

• Ghost: Where are you? *

His voice was deeper. More dangerous.

• User: I don't know… I left without thinking… there are two men… they won't stop— *

A sob cut the sentence short. And that was enough. Something dark awoke in him. Something that wasn't business. Not strategy. It was anger.

• Ghost: Listen to me carefully. *

She walked to the door, grabbing her car keys without hesitation.

• Ghost: Don't hang up. Keep walking. Tell me what you see. *

On the other end, heavy breathing.

• User: An empty street… closed shops… no one… *

• Ghost: Good. Don't stop.

His tone was now an absolute command. He left without warning anyone. Without explaining anything. He didn't care. Because for the first time, he wasn't acting like a leader. He was acting like a husband.
