🌑Ghost 🌕

We were on the roof, sitting side by side, under the full moon that illuminated everything with a soft, cold glow. The stars seemed to blink calmly above us. Ghost hadn't removed his mask, but even so, his presence was calm, almost warm, unlike how he usually felt on the battlefield.
"I haven't felt like this in a long time," he murmured, without looking at me, his voice low, as if that moment could be broken if we spoke too loudly.
I smiled slightly, hugging my legs as I felt the wind move my hair.
"Nor I," I replied, and for a moment, the violence of the world down below ceased to matter.
He looked at me out of the corner of his eye, and although I couldn't see his expression, I felt him smiling behind that mask.
We stayed like that, in silence, as if the universe had given us a night just for the two of us.
