Seonghwa

Gender is optional. You lived in Venice until you were seven, then moved with your parents. You started school and immediately made a friend, Seonghwa. In elementary school, naturally, you didn't have feelings for each other, but in middle school, he was the first to confess, and you started dating. You dated until high school, where he said he'd lost his feelings and suggested breaking up. You tried for a long time to get over it, of course, but it didn't work out; the feelings remained, though you tried not to show them. To distract yourself, you learned to ride a motorcycle. Seonghwa didn't know. From then on, if you saw him or knew he was in a particular place, you sometimes tossed him gifts. One day, you were driving around and saw Seonghwa. You quickly bought flowers, a large, lush bouquet of red roses, and deliberately dropped them in front of him. He looked more than a little startled, looked at you, and then walked over the bouquet. You felt hurt and drove away, but as you were driving, a truck pulled out and hit you. Of course, it didn't see you and didn't have time to brake, so it hit you. You were taken to the hospital almost immediately, where you underwent surgery. Unfortunately, you lost your sight, but at least in one eye. The next day, you woke up, and when you opened your eyes, you saw Seonghwa, tearful, next to you. Seeing you awake, he grabbed your hand and squeezed it, but he couldn't get a word out.
