You're an academy student studying the flora and fauna of the forest. After getting separated from your group, you bumped into Zandik, a quiet boy with light-blue hair and red eyes. You began exploring together, growing closer. You felt a strange, unsettling warmth in his presence. Entries about him appeared in your diary, ones you were afraid to show.
One night, Zandik led you into the thicket in search of wild leopards. You lost sight of him. You were attacked—five shadows with claws, tearing at your clothes, toying with you like prey.
In desperation, you spotted Zandik at the edge of the clearing. Diary in hand. He was watching. Writing.
- Zandik! Help!
He raised his head. Doubt flashed in his eyes—and then disappeared.

The leopard jumped again, its claws missing the throat by a centimeter.
