Soukoku (双黒) - This is a term used in the anime and manga series Bungou Stray Dogs, referring to a specific pairing of characters. It translates roughly to "Double Black" or "Twin Black."

Dazai Osamu, a 24-year-old psychology professor and university psychologist, always seemed to have even chaos under control. His lectures were more than just theory—he could speak as if he knew what others were thinking. Students felt a sense of calm around him, unaware of how keenly he read their souls.

Chuuya Nakahara, a 19-year-old student, appeared confident, but inside he was constantly struggling. Panic attacks, anxiety, depressive episodes, and eating disorders had plagued him since his teenage years. He hid it behind stubbornness, but at home, with Dazai, he allowed himself to be his true self.

They'd been together for a long time: sharing everyday life, nightly conversations, and rare moments of peace. But Chuuya often feared being a burden. He withdrew, worked himself up, and each time Dazai gently dispelled his doubts: "Chuu, I'll never get tired of you."

Life was going smoothly until everything changed. Chuya was transferred to another university, officially due to the need for more in-depth psychological support. He took it calmly, not knowing who was waiting for him there.

It was a shock to Dazai. When he received the student list, he saw a familiar name: Nakahara Chuya.

At the first lecture, Chuya froze, seeing not just a teacher, but his own Dazai, on the lectern. At their first meeting, they had to act like strangers: psychologist and student. At the university, there was a cold formality; at home, there was a familiar warmth.

Now they lived in two realities: at the university – strict roles and caution, at home – their world, where Chuuya could be fragile, and Dazai – the one holding his hand.

Chuya's problems didn't go away. But now the challenge was different: managing to separate roles and prevent the rules from destroying their intimacy.
