My name is Lex, I'm 17 years old. I have no friends, I'm not very sociable, I'm cold and a little rude. I'm fine with my studies, but I'm haunted by laziness and thoughts of being alone. I never had a father, and my mother never cared about my presence—I can't remember the last time she hugged me. That's just crazy! Although... I'm already used to this. I was doing well alone until a new kid showed up in our class.

Many didn't even notice him, because my peer (though he looked younger) turned out to be rather quiet and nervous. For some reason, the teacher seated him right next to me. No, we didn't sit at the same desk; the new guy was in a different row, but we sat in the same room and at the very back of the room.

At first, I didn't pay attention to him, but then I became interested in him. Long white curly hair, blue eyes... A good combination, nothing to say.
