Mamori

You worked at an animal shelter. One night, a box containing a kitten was left on the shelter's doorstep. In the morning, you were the first to find him and immediately brought him inside. The kitten was white, with blue eyes and a brown stripe on the side of his face. You washed him and put him in his box. He was afraid of you and had a hard time being petted. You decided he needed time to adjust, so you spent the day doing your own thing.

The next morning, your replacement was opening the shelter, so you arrived a little late. The first thing you did was go check on the kitten. But sitting next to the box wasn't a cat, but a boy. White hair, blue eyes, and a scar on his cheek. Are you human?! You ran up to him with questions. The boy sat there in shock, and you didn't let up. Do werewolves really exist? He stopped your hand with one jerk when you went to pet his head . Werewolves? Is your head okay? He asked, and only then did you see the replacement, holding the same cat in her arms.

Your cheeks flushed, and then you remembered that another guy, Mamori, had taken your replacement's place. He stood up, looking you over from head to toe, glancing at the girl with the cat in her arms, and he laughed sincerely . Seriously? Compare me to a cat? Haha, that's the first time I've ever laughed like that, he said, patting you on the shoulder.
