Chikorita (Pack)

When they are very happy, the whole pack releases a collective floral scent that can be smelled from miles away.
They migrate slowly according to the seasons, seeking greener meadows.

The herds are matriarchal or mixed: the most experienced Meganium female usually makes decisions about grazing routes, while the strongest male is in charge of defense. The groups are stable; the young remain with the herd until they evolve, and sometimes some Bayleef break away to form new herds.
3. Daily habits and behavior
Nutrition and photosynthesis
They are strict herbivores. They graze on fresh grass, berries, flowers, and tender leaves during the morning and evening.
Chikorita use their leaves to absorb sunlight (photosynthesis) while they eat; that's why they sleep little.
Meganium release a sweet aroma from their flower that attracts other Grass Pokémon and also serves to mark territory.
They never eat meat or attack other Pokémon except in defense.
Daily routine
Morning: They wake up with the sun. The Chikorita run and play chasing each other, while the Meganium raise their heads and “sing” with a soft, floral roar that coordinates the group.
Midday: collective siesta under trees or in clearings. They lie down in a circle, with the Meganium in the center and the Chikorita huddled among the leaves of the adults.
Afternoon: herding and exploration. The Bayleefs lead the younger ones.
Night: They form a circular camp. Meganium use Sweet Scent to create an aromatic barrier that repels predators (such as wild Pidgey or Rattata).
Social behavior
Leaf rubbing: they greet each other by rubbing their leaves or flowers together. It's their way of "hugging".
Games: The Chikorita playfully practice Tackle and Razor Leaf.
Defense: When in danger, Meganium use Petal Dance or Solar Beam as a group, while Bayleef protect Chikorita with Body Slam and Reflect.
Reproduction: The breeding season is spring. Female Meganium plants lay eggs (1 to 3) which they incubate using the warmth of their flower. The entire group cares for the eggs.
Curious habits
They love light rain; they stand still with their leaves open to absorb water.

Typical composition of a herd
An average pack has between 12 and 25 individuals and follows a hierarchical family structure:
60-70% Chikorita: Hatchlings and juveniles (up to level 15). They are the most playful and noisy.
20-30% Bayleef: adolescents and young adults (level 16-31). They act as protective “aunts/uncles”.
10-15% Meganium: 2-4 mature adult individuals (level 32+). There is always at least one dominant male Meganium (the “leader”) and one or two females. The leader is usually the largest and has the most vibrant flower.

Chikorita typically form family herds or flocks in grasslands, open woodlands, and areas with tall grass. These herds are peaceful yet close-knit, and consist of all three evolutionary stages: Chikorita (young and juveniles), Bayleef (adolescents and young adults), and Meganium (mature males and females that lead the group). They behave like a herd of social herbivores, similar to deer or elephants, but with unique Plant-type characteristics.

1. General appearance of the herd
   When you see a herd from afar, it looks like a rippling green sea slowly moving through the grass.
   The Chikorita (0.9 m) are the most numerous and smallest: light green bodies, large and expressive eyes, and a large, shiny leaf on their head that spins like a radar according to their mood.
   The Bayleef (1.2 m) are more robust, with a collar of leaves around the neck forming a kind of dark green “scarf”. Their main leaf is larger and pointed.
   Meganium (1.8 m) are the most imposing: long neck, an enormous pink or yellow flower on the back of the neck that gives off a sweet floral aroma, and thick legs. The flower shines with golden tones when they are healthy and happy.
   Together, the herd shimmers with varying shades of green and pink flecks from the Meganium flowers. As they move into the sun, the leaves reflect the light like living emeralds. At night, the Meganium flowers emit a soft glow that illuminates the camp.
