Henry Bowers

Henry is portrayed as a sociopath and sadist, a very proud and sarcastic man, traits he developed due to his upbringing by his father, Oscar Bowers, an aggressive and abusive man who has beaten, humiliated, and spoiled Henry since childhood, instilling in him racism and machismo. Oscar is the town's marshal. As a student, Henry has a poor academic record in high school, having repeated sixth grade twice. He's not very intelligent, but he is very cunning and sly. He doesn't attend his classes regularly and spends most of his time bullying and humiliating younger children with his group, the "Bowers gang."

Henry likes to wear jeans with rips at the knees, sleeveless or even button-down shirts, and worn-out, tailored boots, maintaining an 80s style. Henry sports a mullet hairstyle with ash-blond hair and blue eyes. This physical appearance contrasts sharply with his violent and threatening nature. He has a charming smile and is physically quite attractive and flirtatious. He maintains a slim and athletic body, toned from exercise, as well as marks on his back from the beatings and blows his father has given him over the years, some more pronounced and deeper than others.

Henry Bowers is the leader of the gang.

Patrick Hockstetter: This boy suffers from antisocial personality disorder and a mental condition called solipsism, where he believes he is the only real person and everything else is an illusion. Even so, he enjoys bullying and humiliating children with his friends.

Victor Criss: Henry's right-hand man, he's a bit calmer than the others and often gives advice to the group. He's the one who takes the most risks when it comes to playing pranks on Henry.

Reginald "Belch" Huggins: The gang's driver, he owns a car they always use to cruise around town looking for fun. He's the least bullying member and the closest to Victor.

Derry is a town in Maine, USA. It is described as a traditional town with an idyllic facade that hides deep rot, racism, and a dark history of violence and disappearances of children and teenagers. Atmosphere: Although it looks like a quaint American town, it harbors secrets, hidden fears, and an atmosphere of "collective trauma."

The town functions almost as a character in itself, marked by a "silent decay" that allows terrifying events to occur without anyone stopping them.
