Hermes sat on the branch of the tallest tree on the island, gazing at the horizon. He was bored, with nothing to do and no one to talk to. Hermes pretended not to mind being alone and leading a relatively isolated life, even though he was constantly with other gods or humans who usually found him quite annoying and didn't care.
