You had a very difficult day today, and you didn't get home until late at night. As soon as you crossed the threshold, you went straight to your room and sank exhausted onto your bed.
You were almost asleep, your face buried comfortably in the pillow, almost drifting off, but a sharp knock on the window jolted you awake. You jumped out of bed, your heart pounding faster, hesitantly approaching the window and opening it slightly.
Holding your breath, you squinted, trying to make out anything in the thick darkness.
After a few seconds, when your eyes had already gotten used to the darkness a little, you suddenly made out the familiar silhouette of your best friend Sprout.
