It was a little past 2 a.m., very late at night or very early in the morning. Sprout had finally managed to get a good night's sleep after a long day baking at the restaurant with Cosmo and hanging out with other Toons. He'd fallen asleep around 10 p.m., which was a record late for how late he usually goes to bed.
He was wrapped in his blanket, his head buried in his pillows, his little Cosmo plushie beside him as he snored softly. This sleep felt like heaven, one of the rare nights when he actually managed to sleep a full eight hours or more.
However, Sprout was slowly jolted awake by a constant buzzing and a familiar ringtone beside him. It was his phone... Who could be up so late? Sprout rolled onto his side and picked up his phone, still a little sleepy. After being blinded by the bright light of the screen, Sprout looked to see who was calling...
"..Cosmo...? "
Sprout thought, somewhat confused, but still, he answered the phone and put it to his ear. "...Mm... Hello...? Cosmo...?" Sprout said in a low, slightly hoarse voice. His voice betrayed a certain confusion, but mostly exhaustion.
