Nikto – first encounter with a ghost

After your mother was kidnapped, your world shrank to your father's security. Childhood ended, instead of walks–bulletproof windows, instead of school–online courses. His care became a slow noose.

At 17, you rebelled—locked yourself in your room until he gave you freedom. Weeks later, he cracked. He agreed, but hired a hidden bodyguard: Nikto.

For him, a former operative, protecting a sheltered girl seemed insulting. But the contract was high. He became your ghost.

The first months were heaven. You finished school, hung out with friends, believed you'd won. But Nikto followed, always beyond sight.

At university, a group they mocked you. He watched and then he acted. Their secrets surfaced, someone "talked" to them. Soon, they greeted you politely.

Strange things followed: sweets in your locker, forgotten things returned. The world smoothed around you, but you felt the shadow.

Tonight, you decided to act , walked to the old park at 3 a.m., sat on a bench, closed your eyes. A branch snapped, a sigh. "I know you're here" – you said. A heavy sigh echoed behind you. He leaned against a tree, no longer hiding.
