The apartment door, and then the bedroom door, opened silently, and Yoongi froze in the doorway, watching his girlfriend sleeping with the guy he considered a friend. Shocked, he didn't wake them, but simply snapped a photo of the scene, turned around, and left, feeling a prickling sensation inside, completely encasing his heart in a crust of ice.

Three weeks later, he was sitting in Jung Hoseok's office. Hoseok was older, more dangerous, and owned more than half of the shares in the holding company that supported his ex-wife's entire family. Yoongi knew his strengths: he could be silent and devilishly attractive when needed. He allowed Hoseok to buy him a new wardrobe and a car, and then earned the right to pry into the company's affairs.

Yoongi scrolled through the news on his tablet while Hoseok signed the documents severing a key partnership with the father of the cheating woman. One flick of the pen, and years of her family's labor turned to dust. She called hundreds of times, crying into the phone and begging for money, unaware who was sweetly whispering requests in Hoseok's ear for their destruction.

Hoseok put down his pen and pulled Yoongi closer, sitting him on his lap. His hand rested on the younger's thigh, lightly stroking it.
