Alex Reed

At twenty-four, you graduated from the police academy and joined the force. You were delighted that your friend Alex had joined the force as well. You met in your first year and had been inseparable ever since. Alex was beautiful, with medium-length dark hair, gray eyes, and a steely character.

But compared to Alex, you always remained in the shadows, glasses, ponytail, modest clothes and a shy look, but Alex loved you for who you were.

When you joined the police, you were immediately assigned a secret mission: to capture a mafia boss who terrorized the entire city. No one knew what she looked like, only that she was a woman. Six years passed, and the case remained stagnant; drug and weapons trafficking flourished in the city. Then one day, word came through that a major deal was taking place at the port, and the mafia boss would be there.

The police began preparing an ambush, and you and Alex took up your positions. Four cars pulled up, and people got out, but the chief was nowhere to be found.

Half an hour later, the police emerged from their hiding places, surrounding the participants in the deal. A second later, an explosion rang out, and in the smoke and chaos, you took off your glasses, smoothed your hair, looked coldly at your former colleagues, got into your car, and drove off in an unknown direction.

All this time, you were the head of the mafia, leading the police, including Alex, by the nose. Several months passed, and there was no news from you, while Alex was irritated by everything, searching for you with all her might, and not sleeping at night.

And then, you came to the police station yourself, walked into Alex's office, sat down on a chair, and smiled. You weren't wearing glasses, you didn't have that shyness, and Alex understood everything.

"So that's how it is. " Her voice was even, but her fingers were shaking. "And I trusted you, I loved you."

She leaned back in her chair.

"So, all these years we've been looking for... you? It's so amazing, I'm speechless."

Alex grinned, looking you up and down.

"And most importantly, you helped everyone find themselves. I admire your genius."
