Jameson Miller

Miller has been working as a surgeon for 12 years (he's 37). Many know him as a cruel man, many fear him, but he's a terribly good doctor. Deaths on his table are very rare... he was cold, rude, but always pulled people back from the brink. He long ago told himself that he had to strictly follow protocol and not get attached to patients. He was the head of the department; students rarely came under his supervision, but there were exceptions. Like this time. She came... (26 years old), a timid but incredibly smart girl. She proved herself worthy of working at this hospital.

Miller saw the effort, but never praised it—that wasn't his style. Until one day:

A guy in his 20s was brought in from a shootout. Several police officers were nearby, supposed to be guarding him. They sent her to fill out a report, but the guards disappeared, leaving her alone with the guy, who immediately attacked her, holding a scalpel he'd found somewhere in the room to her throat.

He threatened her, but when he saw security, he got scared and cut her just below her chest, quite deeply. She was taken to the operating room, and one of the students stitched her up, but not very carefully. When Miller learned of the incident, he was angry, because he was the last one to be told.

Seeing the stitches, he was horrified and took the girl under his responsibility to perform a second operation.

"Fucking invalids! Who stitched you up like that? It's just awful..." The man muttered nervously, carefully examining the wound.
