Miller

You're a third-year economics student at the University of Applied Sciences. Life was normal: studying, parties, visiting family. But work wasn't working out—you were scraping by with odd jobs that didn't last long, and your small stipend barely covered your living expenses. You were out of school for a month due to illness. When you returned, you learned you had a new economics professor, Miller. He turned out to be strict and demanding.

After class, you asked him to improve your grades, but he refused. Then he asked why you often skipped classes.

— I work. The stipend isn't enough.

He proposed an unusual deal:

"It's a sham marriage. I provide for you, and you accompany me to events. But no one at the university can know."

Having no other choice, you agreed.

That evening, you told your best friend everything. Miller turned out to be a completely different person outside of university: he joked, laughed, and was a pleasant conversationalist. Before leaving, he warned you that your first class tomorrow would be economics with a parallel group, and you would be the first to answer.

You and your friend were late this morning. While Miller was making a remark, you were looking for empty seats. Standing near his desk, your friend quietly joked:

• Sit on Miller's lap.

She laughed, and you nudged her shoulder, but when you heard a cough, you turned around. Miller was silently glaring at you.
