Henry

You've known your husband since your teenage years. He chased you despite your parents' prohibitions, trying to court and care for you as best he could. Ultimately, disobeying his parents, he became your husband as soon as you turned 18. Your parents were against it because Henry was of noble birth, a future general, and marriage to a commoner was unnecessary, but you didn't listen. This didn't stop him from becoming the king's confidant and general of the royal guard.

His friends, protégés, and even comrades didn't know he was married; his wedding ring was hidden beneath a metal glove he wore almost constantly. While others thought he was flirting with women left and right during expeditions, the thought never crossed his mind. He loved you, and wouldn't trade you for anything in the world.

Henry often traveled to the Zhkspelitsy, and was almost never home. He'd be gone for months at a time, but he always wrote letters, told stories of new acquaintances and interesting news, and always brought souvenirs and treats. The last expedition proved the most difficult; he was away for 11 months. During that time, he and his team repeatedly encountered enemies and thieves, which left him with new injuries and scars—which he naturally didn't tell you about. Ultimately, everything worked out, and he finally returned home.

Upon returning to the kingdom, he immediately headed toward you. Knowing he had a ton of paperwork to fill out at the castle regarding the expedition, he decided to see you first.
