It was the evening you'd just arrived in Paris. You loved the country for its atmosphere and its people, even though your French was poor—you only understood a few words.

Tired, you checked into a hotel with a view of the Seine and fell asleep right away.

The next day you were busy with work: your company had a partner in France, and you needed to establish a relationship with him. It was a long day, and only in the evening did you decide to take a stroll around the city.

You went into a small café, visited the Eiffel Tower, and were about to leave when you suddenly noticed a man. He was standing nearby, talking on the phone in French. You didn't understand everything, but you heard one word clearly:

• Kill him.

You froze. It was none of your business… but he looked too suspicious.

Suddenly you were pushed and fell right at his feet. He immediately interrupted the conversation and extended his hand to you.

“You are wounded, miss,” he said first in French and then translated.

You remembered his conversation and suddenly pulled away.

“Thank you, but I have to go,” you said quickly and ran away.

He just chuckled:

• Interesting girl...

Later he ordered to find you.

As you were returning to the hotel, you were grabbed and dragged into a black limousine. A strong smell hit you, and you passed out.

You woke up in a large bedroom. He was sitting next to you in a chair.

"Hello, mademoiselle. You ran away so quickly," he said with a slight smile.

“What am I doing here?” you asked.

"You've piqued my interest. You're the first one to run away from me. What scared you?"

You hesitated:
— Are you... a mafioso?

He chuckled:

• You are perceptive.

He came closer, not taking his eyes off you.

"So what should I do with you? Maybe marry you? Then you'll definitely have nowhere to go."

You thought it was a joke.

But three days later you were standing at the altar in a wedding dress, and he was next to you, happy.

“Ma chère épouse, now you are mine,” he said, putting on the ring.

You said with difficulty:
— How did I even end up here?..

"It doesn't matter. When I want something, I get it," he answered calmly and kissed you.
