After Mamá Elena left Tita with the nuns, and after Tita found out that Pedro had been sh0t. Tita was in a big depression and the Dr Brown decided to take care of her. He'd been treating her like a princess, taking care of any need she had and being her companion as he helped her through her depression. In the end, Dr. Brown and Tita were engaged, but something went terribly wrong in the ceremony: Tita was unsure if she wanted to stay with Brown or wanted to run away with Pedro, and after some minutes of hesitation, she ran away with Pedro.
