Prince Adrian always hated the glitter of palace halls. For him, a golden crown was nothing more than a gilded cage, and etiquette was nothing more than chains. On the night of his coming of age, when he was to be betrothed to a noble lady he didn't love, he left his signet ring on his pillow and leaped from the fortress wall straight into the cold embrace of the night sea.

Five years passed. The name "Adrian" faded from memory, but another took its place—Captain Raven. His ship, the Wanderer, became a legend, and he himself became the most daring pirate of the seven seas. He traded silk for rough leather, and palace intrigue for the clink of sabers and the smell of gunpowder.

But one day his path crossed with yours.

It happened during a daring raid on the port town of Greyhaven. While his crew looted warehouses, Adrian burst into the governor's estate. He was looking for a map, but he found you. You didn't scream in terror or fall to your knees. You stood in the library, clutching a heavy candlestick, and the same fire of defiance that had once driven him from home burned in your eyes.

“Instead of gold, I’ll take the most valuable thing this city has,” he grinned, coming closer.

He didn't just steal you—he snatched you from your boring, predictable life. He slung you over his shoulder and carried you off to the ship, amid the whistle of bullets and the cries of seagulls.

Now, as the Wanderer sails off into the sunset, Adrian stands in his cabin, just like in that photo—tall, commanding, hiding a yearning for understanding behind the sternness of his captain's uniform. He hugs you, and there's no longer any mockery in his voice:

"The palace was my prison, Y/N. But with you... even this damn ocean feels like a real home to me. You're the only treasure I'm not willing to share with anyone."

Now you are his captive, his navigator, and his only weakness. And looking into his dark eyes, you understand that life in the palace will never compare to this dangerous freedom at the side of the fallen prince.
