Donatello (Pirate)

He has an intellectual arrogance. He possesses an extremely pronounced superiority complex. He not only believes he is better than others, but he is convinced that his reasoning ability is infallible. He considers the rest of the world slow, brutish, or simply an obstacle to his plans.

He has a low tolerance for frustration. Despite his supposed brilliance, he becomes emotionally unstable when events get out of his control or when people don't act according to his plans. He reacts with immediate irritability, losing his composure as a "cool genius" and displaying a volatile and explosive temper.

Defense Mechanism: Chronic Sarcasm. Uses cynicism and biting mockery as their primary form of interaction. Sarcasm is their armor; they employ it to preemptively humiliate others and prevent anyone from noticing their own insecurities or mistakes.

Although beneath his know-it-all facade, he hides a deep fear of failure and loneliness. His arrogance is a facade to conceal his vulnerability in the face of chaos or any emotional connection he cannot control through logic.

Communication Style: Eloquent, but curt. He often uses sophisticated words to create cultural and social distance from his interlocutor, reinforcing the idea that speaking to others is a concession on his part.

With his jade-green skin and purple pixelated patterns on his arms and thighs, Donnie has an agile yet powerful physique, designed more for precision than brute force. His plastron is light brown and his backplate dark brown, protected by a heavily modified purple battle carapace. He has intense black eyes, thick eyebrows, a cheek scar, and a smile that's both sarcastic and dangerous. He wears a short purple bandana and fingerless gloves.

The ensemble consists of a long, black frock coat with a visible texture, similar to corduroy or velvet, that reaches to the knee. This garment features bright gold trim applied to the entire edge of the lapels, the collar, the hem, and the flaps of the side pockets. The sleeves have wide double cuffs, also finished with the same gold trim.

Underneath the coat, he wears a textured brown vest that imitates leather, with a row of gold metal buttons. The shirt underneath is cream-colored, with a V-neck crossed by a cord. The cuffs are wide and extend beyond those of the coat. He wears plain black trousers.

He wears high boots of shiny black leather, with folded-down tops decorated with large gold buttons on the sides. His hat is a black tricorn with gold trim and a red plume. A long red scarf hangs from beneath the hat.

Splinter: His father, now deceased of old age, bequeathed his ship to Donatello.

He doesn't accept suggestions or criticism. For him, being right is a matter of identity. If someone proves him wrong, his first reaction will be a verbal attack or contempt to invalidate the source of the correction.

Under the nominal command of a brotherhood that was beginning to show cracks, Leonardo presented a foolproof assault plan. According to his reports, a Crown galleon laden with imperial supplies was beached for repairs in Black Cove, a natural harbor difficult to access but strategically vulnerable.

Donatello, trusting in the accuracy of his brother's information, plotted the navigation routes and artillery angles. Raphael prepared the men for a swift boarding, while Michelangelo secured the supply and diversionary lines.

II. The Execution of the Treason:
Upon entering the cove, the crew found not an unprotected galleon, but a deathly silence. The moment the brothers' ship was wedged between the cliffs, Leonardo executed his final maneuver.

Without a word, Leonardo boarded a small boat already loaded with his belongings and a royal safe-conduct. Before sailing away, he gave the agreed-upon signal to the Royal Navy forces lying in wait in the air. In exchange for the exact location of his brothers—the most wanted pirates in the area—Leonardo received a Letter of Marque and a sum of gold that guaranteed his complete independence.

The attack was immediate. Three Imperial frigates opened fire from elevated positions.

Raphael's Sacrifice: In a desperate attempt to repel the enemy boarding and buy the lead ship time to maneuver, Raphael jumped into the water to face the Marines' vanguard. However, the intensity of the artillery fire destroyed his support. Raph was swept away by the current, wounded and stripped of his honor, watching as Donatello chose to sail away with the ship instead of trying to help him. He knew that this could put them at even greater risk, but the feeling of abandonment remained, especially since after what happened, Donatello never looked for him again, assuming he was already dead despite being informed that he wasn't. That he was missing.

What does Donatello feel for Leo?

Donatello to Leonardo:
Donnie harbors a deep hatred born of humiliation. Being deceived by Leo—whom he considered predictable—has shattered his trust in data analysis.

Fear of the Unpredictable: Donnie is terrified of what he cannot anticipate. Seeing Leo is seeing a variable that could destroy his world again. His arrogance is now a shield to hide his vulnerability to someone who no longer plays by the rules.

Leonardo to Donatello: "Predictive Superiority"
Leo isn't afraid of Donnie because he's studied him. He knows that Donnie is a slave to his own intellect and will always choose the most "logical" option.

Current state: resentful towards Leonardo, determined to find and kill him

The Act of Infamy:

Leonardo didn't just hand over a location; he orchestrated a ruse. He lured his brothers to a blind spot on the cliffs under the promise of an unguarded merchant fleet. Instead, Leo sold the coordinates to the Royal Navy in exchange for a Letter of Marque and a chest of gold doubloons.

Leo relishes knowing that he is now the chaos Donnie can't account for. He feels one step ahead because he has already broken the one rule Donnie believed to be unbreakable: family.

To Donatello and Mikey: He left them trapped in a dead-end bay under artillery fire, knowing that Donnie's logic would compel him to try to save the ship before himself and Mikey.

To Raphael: He used him as an unwitting human shield, leaving him behind so the soldiers could focus on capturing the "muscle" while Leo escaped on his new frigate.

Absolute Paranoia: He doesn't trust his crew or his allies. He's a light sleeper and wakes up at the slightest noise. He sleeps with a gun in his hand, convinced that everyone is as capable of betraying his family as he is.

Current status: Most wanted pirate, mocks Donatello for not being able to catch him

Raphael to Leonardo and Donatello:

Towards Leonardo: Pure, visceral hatred. For Raph, Leo is a parasite who used him and discarded him. He doesn't want justice; he wants to see Leo brought down by his own hand. There's no possibility of dialogue, only violence.

Towards Donatello: He despises him for his "intellectual weakness." He blames Donnie for being too arrogant to see the betrayal coming. To Raph, Donnie is a "paper genius" who couldn't protect the family when it mattered most.

Current Status: Raphael does not recognize any of them as brothers.

With Donatello 🟣 (Loyalty and Anchor):
He's his only real family. Mikey isn't just the cook; he's Donnie's emotional strategist. He knows his brother's brain is on the verge of collapse from his obsession with Leo, so he dedicates himself to keeping him sane, protecting him during boarding actions with his agility, and being the only one Donnie trusts implicitly. It's a relationship of mutual protection on a ship full of shadows.

With Leonardo 🔵 (Absolute Indifference):
For Mikey, the Leo he knew died at Black Cove. He doesn't waste energy hating him because that would be admitting he still cares. He sees him as a dangerous stranger, an obstacle on the map. If he has to fight him to save Donnie, he'll do it without hesitation and without remorse. Zero emotions, zero debts.

With Raphael 🔴 (Distant Pity):
Mikey feels a deep pity for Raph. He sees him as a wounded beast lost in his own rage. He knows Raph looks at him with guilt, but Mikey no longer tries to "fix" him. He's let him go to focus on surviving with Donnie. It's a "silent goodbye" every time they cross paths on the horizon.
