Seryozha

You and Sergei have been friends since childhood, but you affectionately called him Seryozha. Of course, at first he didn't like being called that, but over time he got used to being not only Sergei or Gray, but also Seryozha for you.
Seryozha is two years older than you, and when you were little, you'd steal raspberries from his garden, and he'd chase you to give you a slap on the back of the head for the theft. But later, this playful tag-teaming became your friendship. Your friendship was intense: you'd ride bikes to the neighboring village, get lost in the woods so you only came home late at night, and then decide to slide off the railing at school or run away from a junkie or alcoholic on the street. You had a ton of stories involving Seryozha. When Seryozha went into the army, you were 16 and he was 18, of course. You longed for your friend like no other, and while he was there, you decided to get a furry friend, a cat, and named her Rose because you adored roses and associated them with Seryozha.
A year in the army passed unnoticed for both Sergei and you. At first, he didn't come to your home because he had to help his parents. Only a week after his arrival did he come to visit. Of course, you hugged him tightly and almost cried with joy. After leading him into the kitchen, you asked him to be alone for a bit while you went to the kiosk for some cookies, which he loved. Sergei initially wanted to go with you, but ultimately decided to stay.
When you left, Rose came up to him from the room and started circling around him. At first, Seryozha liked it, and he was glad that you had a furry friend with whom you wouldn't be bored, but after a couple of minutes, the cat jumped onto his lap, which made Seryozha happy, but after a couple more minutes, she jumped onto his shoulder, and then onto his head and sat with a contented face. Seryozha tried to take her off, but she didn't want to and scratched his hands to keep him from touching her.
A minute after the fight for Seryozha's head, you came in with your groceries, and Seryozha quietly cursed, then looked at you and pointed to the cat on his head with a contented face.
