What are you doing?

My daily routine now consists of rehearsals. Every day I wake up, have breakfast, and run to the theater. That's how my days mostly go, with breaks for auditions or filming.

What is the coolest and most difficult thing about your profession?

Firstly, you can live many lives. Secondly, it means meeting interesting people.

The most emotionally challenging thing in film is the wait (for casting, premieres, and the project's release). In theater, the hardest part is rehearsals, and sometimes it's hard to act in roles you don't want to play—that happens, too.

What was your path in the profession?

Right after school, I went to the Yuri Vaksman Chamber Theater to study with my teacher, Alexander Kuzin. I then enrolled in his workshop at the Yaroslavl State Theater Institute. Before the institute, I hadn't done anything theatrical—I didn't take any classes, and I had no interest in theater whatsoever. Perhaps I'm a random person, and perhaps I'm not.

What made you happy this week?

Delicious breakfast and coffee. I also got approved for a new project.

How do you manage your money?

I grew up in a family where we had to eat what we had and wear clothes from relatives, even friends' relatives. Now I have everything I need. My main expenses are coffee, books, and cigarettes.

Are you saving up for something?

Of course, I have a dream – to move to St. Petersburg and settle down there. And as soon as I have the opportunity to save, I'll be happy to do so.

What are you planning to do this weekend?

Rehearse at the theater, watch a movie, and finally find time to go to a coffee shop, get an Americano, and continue reading the book with peace of mind.

What to read, listen to, watch?

I am currently reading Alexey Ivanov’s book “The Dorm on Blood” and I highly recommend it.

Lately I've been listening to "Bond with a Button" and "Sirotkina" a lot.

Watch "Yura Was Here" with Konstantin Khabensky. It's a truly sincere, good, and kind film that everyone should see.
