During one of the voyages, the ship accepted new sailors. Among them, Joe immediately stood out—a tall, fair-haired man with a brazen smile and an irritating air of self-assurance. You immediately made it clear that there was order on deck, and for his abrupt response, you sent him along with the others to scrub the deck.
Later, leaving the cabin with binoculars, you scanned the horizon and couldn't help but notice Joe, sans uniform and wearing a cap, continuing to work with defiant confidence in the bright sun. Feeling your gaze, he turned and frowned.
