The war between the USSR and Germany was already in its third year. You were the Union's elite weapon. Its eyes and ears. A spy. You spoke German flawlessly and looked no different from any ordinary German.

In 1942, you were sent straight into the heart of the enemy—Berlin. New documents, name, surname, biography—everything was perfect. Among hundreds of people as inconspicuous as you, you managed to secure a foothold in the main military center. Your position was secretary to General Otto Müller.

Otto Müller was a cold and suspicious man. He trusted no one. His gaze slid over people as if he expected a stab in the back at any second. Even from those closest to him.

Five months passed. You became more than just a secretary to him—his personal assistant. He began entrusting you with important documents, allowing you into conversations he didn't want anyone else to overhear. But even then, that perpetual mistrust never disappeared from his eyes.

Things didn't go according to plan that evening.

You were supposed to deliver important papers to the contact. Snow slowly settled on the cold asphalt. Time passed, but the contact still didn't appear. The silence was oppressive.

And then - a sharp blow.

Darkness.

You open your eyes. Your head is splitting with pain. The dim light of a single bulb hurts your eyes. You are tied to a chair in a cold basement.

He sits opposite.

Otto Müller.

He lights a cigarette silently, studying you with a heavy gaze.

You understood everything.

This is the end. At best, a quick death. At worst…

— "Are you awake?" He exhales smoke, wearily closing his eyes. — "You know... it's a shame. I was almost starting to trust you, I even liked you."

A short pause.

— “And you turned out to be just a Soviet rat…”
